Start with Maplus Solid Racing Base Medium Universal Protection (available in 250gr & 1kg options). Race Base Medium should be in ever wax kit. It is proven an excellent all-purpose, universal wax with at least twice the durability of other universal waxes and a broader usable range than indicated. Then tweak the wax depending on the conditions you will be expecting for the next outing or week, by waxing for the lowest temperature range of the night before or for the ski week. In soft snow, you may not need to re-wax for days.
