The Tool that Changed the Way Skis are Tuned Accuracy is the key to performance. Precision bevels in .5, .7, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 degrees. With this tool the file stops cutting when the bevel is achieved, therefore beveling the base edge, and not the ski base. TFC is compatible with files, diamonds, and stones. This unique tool takes the guess work out of base edge maintenance.

Undoubtedly the most accurate base beveling tool in the industry!
Accuracy is the key to performance, especially when it comes to the accuracy of the degree of the base edge. Too slight of an angle, and your edges may engage too quickly or may feel ’twitchy’. This may be desirable for racers or performance. An over beveled base edge, and the edges do not engage as well or as quickly. This may be fine for some while laying over fat skis, but not for general skiing. A 1° Base Bevel is generally a good angle to set for most recreational skiers.
If the base edge is over beveled, the bases will need to be ground down to re-establish the base edge geometry. Avoid this by setting your base bevels accurately. Avoid changing the base edge by focusing on side edge sharpening with only base bevel deburring and touch up with the The Final Cut Base bevel tool.
The Sun Valley Ski Tools TFC is made from aircraft grade aluminum and stainless steel. This is why the TFC is resistant to the warping that temperature changes will have on plastic tools.
