The Loctite 242 Threadlocker is a removable strength, general purpose acrylic threadlocking adhesive.

Loctite 242 Features:
  • Well suited for fasteners between 1/4" to 3/4" diameter (6 to 20mm)
  • Provides controlled lubricity for accurate clamp loads when applied to threaded components before assembly
  • Allows parts and components to be separated using hand tools
  • One component acrylic adhesive requires no mixing
  • Positive fluorescence under UV light

  • Viscosity: medium (1,00/5,000 thixotropic)
  • Fastener Size: 1/4" to 3/4" (6mm to 20mm)

  • Temperatue Range: -65° to 300°F
  • Cure Speed (Steel @ 25°C): Fixture - 10 minutes (3 minutes w/primer); Full Strength - 24 hrs
